Late in 2001 I started to take a systematic approach to plan observations and to log objects.
My goal is to view new objects every time I'm out under the stars. As of 2005 I have recorded all of my observations. |

Every amateur astronomer uses his or her own equipment, has a differing area of interest and takes
his or her own approach. Some only observe the Moon and planets
while others view only the brightest deepsky objects. Many of us leave it at this and enjoy these views night after night. Others seek the challenge
of observing double stars or difficult, faint, small, large or special objects. No matter what it is you observe or how you observe it, astronomy
is a hobby which can be enjoyed by various means. Every approach has its charm and everone enjoys his or her observations through a personal approach. |
